Disability Solutions

We loved connecting with old friends, meeting new ones, and learning all the great new ministry ideas at Disability And The Church-DATC 2024 in Orlando!

We were so honored to present at DATC 2024 and we’re sharing all of our resources with you!

Have you ever wondered:
“How can I possibly teach the Bible to every person in the room?”

Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is a great solution! UDL is an evidenced-based framework for designing engaging teaching to include all abilities in your classes and congregations!

Stirring Waters

Removing The Barriers is an amazing nonprofit and the creator of Stirring Waters, which will be an ultra-inclusive waterpark in Orlando! Their vision is to provide a safe and special place where all people and their families living with disabilities may come together. Removing the Barriers helps organizations, such as camps and churches, to include all God’s children in their programs.

Overcomer Ministries, Inc. is now working with Bill Redmon, President of Removing the Barriers Initiative, to spread disability training resources to churches and camps! Bill had these kind words to say about the Overcomer Ministries training videos.

“I have now taken the time to view your videos on being a Sensory-Friendly Church and found them very helpful. When I returned home, I decided I was going to try to help the church I attend to become intentionally disabilities friendly and your videos were right on target. The thing I really like about your videos is they are so practical and do not require a lot of change to get started. I am a “principle” person rather than a systems person and you were very helpful in helping me understand the principles. Once we understand the principles we can adapt to our situation.”
– Bill Redmon, President of Removing the Barriers Initiative
